Reactions

A Reaction — shown in the dashboard as a User Study — lets you ask your Personas a set of questions and get back structured, scored feedback on how they react to your product. It’s qualitative research without the recruiting: Marketrix evaluates each persona against your questions and reports where they feel clear and in control versus confused or hesitant.

User Studies live under UX Insights → User Studies, scoped to the Application you’re working in.

  • Questions — An ordered list of open-ended questions. You can describe what you want to learn and let Marketrix draft questions for you to edit, or paste your own list directly.
  • Personas — The personas the study runs against. Each one is scored independently.
  • Context — Optional evidence Marketrix uses while scoring: a file you upload, existing Knowledge, your prior Simulations, and AI-suggested new Simulations. Reusing existing simulations is cheaper on quota; running new ones tends to produce better-grounded results.
  • Runs — Each time you score a study it produces a run. A study keeps its run history so you can compare results over time.

The new-study wizard has two steps:

  1. Describe Study — Select the personas to study, write a plain-text description of what you want to learn (or paste a ready-made question list), and optionally attach a document for context. Marketrix drafts questions you can review and edit before continuing.
  2. Context & Run — Review the auto-detected context references and choose which Simulations to use as evidence — your existing completed Simulations and/or AI-suggested new ones. Then run the study.

For each selected persona, Marketrix evaluates all of the study’s questions in one pass, grounded in the context you provided. Every answer is scored on two sets of signals, each on a 1–10 scale with a written justification:

UX dimensions

| Dimension | What it measures | |-----------|------------------| | Clarity | How clearly the persona understands what’s happening. | | Control | How in-control the persona feels. | | Trust | How much the persona trusts the experience. | | Effort | How much effort the experience demands. |

Emotional reactions

| Signal | What it measures | |--------|------------------| | Reassured | The persona feels reassured. | | Delighted | The persona feels delighted. | | Confused | The persona feels confused. | | Hesitant | The persona feels hesitant. |

Per-question scores roll up into a per-persona view so you can read each persona’s overall reaction at a glance and drill into individual answers.

A study opens to its latest run. From there you can:

  • Switch runs — Compare the current scoring against earlier runs of the same study.
  • Results tab — See each persona’s scored answers and reaction breakdown.
  • Replay tab — When a run used Simulations as evidence, follow the linked simulation replays and the specific moments tied to a persona’s reaction. Studies with running simulations open straight into live replay so you can watch progress while scoring finishes.
  • Export a report — Generate a PDF of a completed run; it renders in the background and opens when ready.
