Generating Personas

Marketrix generates personas for you — you don’t write them from scratch. Generation derives a persona for each audience segment so your test population mirrors how people actually use your product.

From the Personas page:

  1. If you have no personas yet, click Generate personas on the empty state. Otherwise, click Regenerate in the header.
  2. Marketrix builds the segments and personas in the background. The grid updates automatically when generation completes — you don’t have to stay on the page.

Generation usually takes about a minute. While it runs, the page shows that the agent is generating personas.

Generation produces one persona per audience segment. When your application has indexed knowledge, Marketrix grounds each persona in that knowledge — it searches your product’s Knowledge for the most relevant context (typical users, customer segments, use cases, value propositions) and feeds it into the persona. If there is no relevant knowledge, generation falls back to a more general profile based on your domain.

Each generated persona comes with its full profile (goals, behavior, pain points, triggers), tags, a Big Five and MBTI profile, and a short set of key product-feature insights tailored to that persona.

When you’re getting started and don’t yet have your own audience data, Marketrix can suggest a starter set of personas for your website’s domain — a top set plus an additional set — that you can select from and save to your application. This is a quick way to seed a test population before real traffic arrives.

Generated personas are a starting point, not a final word. Open a persona and choose Edit to refine it. You can change the name, description, age range, and the four profile fields (goals, behavior, pain points, triggers), and manage its tags and traits. See Persona Details for the full profile.

Regenerate rebuilds your segments and personas. Use it after you’ve added meaningful new knowledge or captured more sessions, so the test population reflects the latest understanding of your audience.
