UX Insights Overview
UX Insights is your window into how real users move through your product. Marketrix aggregates session recordings, generates segments, derives personas, builds heatmaps, and surfaces moments where users react — positively or negatively — so you can find friction without watching thousands of recordings by hand.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”UX Insights is organized around four lenses on the same session data:
Personas
Section titled “Personas”Persona profiles describe your users — their goals, blockers, expertise level, and what they actually do in your product. Marketrix derives them from session activity and the segments below, then lets you edit, regenerate, or seed them from a domain-specific starter set during onboarding.
Segments
Section titled “Segments”Segments group users by behavioral patterns Marketrix finds in your sessions — things like “users who churned during onboarding” or “power users who never use the search bar.” Segments feed persona generation and are the building block for cohort-style analysis.
Heatmaps
Section titled “Heatmaps”Heatmaps aggregate user attention across pages so you can see where eyes, scrolls, and clicks land — and where they don’t. Each tracked page supports three heatmap types:
- Clicks — Where users tap or click.
- Scroll — How far down the page users scroll before bouncing or moving on.
- Attention — Time-weighted dwell across viewport regions.
Each heatmap type is captured separately for desktop, tablet, and mobile variations.
Reactions
Section titled “Reactions”Reactions are AI-tagged moments inside session recordings where the user expressed something noteworthy — confusion, frustration, surprise, or delight. Each reaction links back to its session context so you can replay the surrounding interaction in one click.
How insights are generated
Section titled “How insights are generated”UX Insights builds on the Sessions captured by your widget and any Connectors you’ve wired up. The pipeline runs in the background — kick it off from the dashboard, and Marketrix:
- Scans recent sessions for behavioral patterns.
- Generates segments and personas.
- Aggregates heatmaps across the tracked pages.
- Tags reaction moments with AI.
Most generation steps are fire-and-forget — start them, walk away, and check back when the dashboard shows results.
