User Interviews Overview
User Interviews put your questions in front of real people. You author a question set in the dashboard, share a short-lived link, and each participant answers in a public interview room — by voice or in writing — with no account and no login. Every completed interview posts back a transcript you read in the dashboard.
This is the one surface in Marketrix where the answers come from humans rather than simulated Personas. User Studies run your Personas against your product; User Interviews go and ask your actual users. The two answer different questions, and many teams run both.
Where it lives
Section titled “Where it lives”User Interviews sits under CX Tools in the dashboard, alongside User Studies and User Support. Interviews belong to an Application, so each one is scoped to the product you are asking about.
What an interview is
Section titled “What an interview is”An interview is a name plus an ordered set of questions. There is no scheduling, no calendar, and no live host — the participant opens the link whenever suits them and works through the questions on their own.
Questions use the same four types as User Studies and Surveys:
| Question type | What the participant does |
|---|---|
| Open text | Types (or speaks) a free-form answer. |
| Single select | Picks one option from your list. |
| Multi select | Picks any number of options from your list. |
| Rating | Picks a number on a scale you define (for example 1–5). |
The lifecycle
Section titled “The lifecycle”- Write the questions — Create the interview and add its questions in order.
- Share the link — Generate an ephemeral, token-authenticated link and send it to your participants.
- They answer — Participants choose voice or text in a public room. Nothing is sent until they submit.
- Read the transcripts — Each submission appears on the interview’s page, newest alongside the rest.
