Create Guides to give your users step-by-step help directly inside your application.

Creating a Guide

1. Navigate to the Guides page.
2. Click Create Guide.
3. Choose the guide type: How-to Guide or URL Guide.

How-to Guides

How-to Guides are video-based walkthroughs generated from real interactions:

1. Record or upload a walkthrough of a workflow in your application.
2. Marketrix processes the recording into a structured, step-by-step guide.
3. Add a title and description to help users find the guide.

URL Guides

URL Guides deliver contextual help when users visit specific pages:

1. Define a URL pattern that determines when the guide appears (e.g., /settings/*).
2. Write the help content — instructions, tips, or links relevant to that page.
3. The guide triggers automatically when a user navigates to a matching URL.

Assigning Guides to Widgets

After creating a guide, assign it to one or more Widgets so it reaches your end users. A guide only appears for users who interact with a widget it’s assigned to.

1. Open the guide you want to assign.
2. Select the target widget(s).
3. Save your changes.

Start with URL Guides for your most common support pages — pricing, settings, and onboarding — to proactively help users before they need to ask.
